Tuesday 20th June 2023 – 8pm (BST)
Waiting is hard. Whether it be on a long and uncertain fertility journey or through pregnancy following a complex path to get there, many can experience heightened stress and anxiety during these times. It can be a time where it’s easy to question decisions, wobble and feel doubts creep in.
I’ll be joined by Julianne Boutaleb, perinatal psychologist and founder of Parenthood in Mind, as we explore how we can help manage the wait. Whether it be waiting for a donor match, for treatment to start, the dreaded two week wait and through pregnancy as we await our longed-for baby finally being in our arms. We’ll explore why the wait can conjure up more questions and doubts and how we can manage our emotions through this time.
As with all Paths to Parenthub webinars, members have the chance to shape the conversation by submitting your questions ahead of the webinar and on the night, I hope you will join us there.
(Please note that all webinars and live chats are recorded and made available the following day to members within the Paths to Parenthub website and the community app too).
Julianne is a highly experienced perinatal psychologist, who has worked for over 17 years in the NHS and in private practice with individuals and couples adversely impacted by infertility issues. As a member of BICA, she lectures and writes on how individuals and couples who are trying to conceive (TTC), pregnant or parenting following ART (IVF, ICSI, donor conception, surrogacy) or adoption may be psychologically affected.
